Rachel Jessey
Nutritionist, Long Covid Support
Rachel, who is delighted to have joined the Dr Finlay’s team, holds a Master’s degree in Personalised Nutrition and has extensive experience supporting patients and clients with complex and chronic illnesses.
Since 2010, Rachel has developed this specialism after having recovered from her own challenging health journey. She has dedicated many years to researching and understanding complex mechanistic pathways involved in many of the chronic health conditions we see today.
Rachel’s particular experience lies in the areas of post-viral syndromes and now Long Covid and related conditions, such as Mast Cell Activation Syndrome.
Since the start of the pandemic, Rachel has studied extensively the interactions between the Gut Microbiome and Long Covid, identifying a particular microbiome phenotype in patients who have struggled with their recovery.
She also has a keen interest in Circadian and Quantum Biology which looks at the interactions between our light, magnetic and water environments, and their effects on our biological systems.
When working with individuals one-on-one, Rachel blends naturopathic principles, nutritional science, Circadian and Quantum Biology into a practical, holistic approach tailored to each patient’s life.
She combines complex scientific research with straightforward common sense to offer long-term, sustainable solutions for those seeking to restore their health and vitality. At Dr Finlay’s, Rachel also works with patients to help them support their body’s inbuilt mechanisms, which can resolve many issues on their own when provided with the right nutrients and conditions.
Rachel is on the scientific advisory board for The Long Covid-19 Foundation and SpinQ BioPhysics Inc. She is also the Head of Nutrition for Tolerance and enjoys collaborating with scientists, researchers, and medical professionals.
