Angela Senese
Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner & Registered Nutritional Therapist
Angela Senese is a Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner and Registered Nutritional Therapist, specialising in women’s health, cardiovascular health, and chronic inflammatory conditions.
Before transitioning into healthcare, Angela spent over 20 years in the financial sector, working with leading global organisations including HSBC, Citigroup, BlackRock, and AIG. Despite professional success, she experienced a prolonged period of personal health challenges and persistent symptoms for which conventional healthcare offered limited answers. These included hormonal disruption, migraines, digestive issues, chronic fatigue, and the cumulative effects of long term stress and inflammation.
Through exploring the role of nutrition, lifestyle, and environmental factors in health, Angela began to understand how underlying imbalances and chronic inflammation were contributing to her symptoms. By addressing root causes and supporting the body’s innate capacity for repair, she experienced meaningful and lasting improvements in her own health. This insight led her to retrain in nutritional and functional medicine.
Angela graduated with distinction from the College of Naturopathic Medicine (CNM) and is certified as a Functional Medicine Practitioner through the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM). She has additional training in nutrigenomics and applies a systems-based, evidence-informed approach to understanding chronic inflammation, metabolic dysfunction, hormonal imbalance, and cardiovascular risk.
Her clinical work focuses on identifying and addressing the underlying drivers of inflammation, including gut dysfunction, immune dysregulation, hormonal imbalance, and lifestyle factors, while using personalised nutrition, targeted supplementation, and sustainable lifestyle interventions.
Angela works within our multidisciplinary team at Dr Finlay’s to provide a collaborative and compassionate approach, supporting patients to make meaningful, long-term changes that improve resilience, energy, and overall health.
