Founded by GP Dr Ben Sinclair, Dr Finlay’s Private Practice began with a simple but powerful idea: combining cutting-edge medicine with the good old fashioned Doctor – Patient relationship.
While studying medicine, Dr Ben developed the concept of the Integrated Health Pyramid, a model that now underpins our entire practice. This approach helps clinicians and patients look at the full picture, addressing underlying imbalances rather than just surface symptoms.

I had a consultation with Dr Gill this morning. I was fed up of having conversations within the NHS with people who have no clue about long covid. My local long covid clinic closed last year, there is no one to go for support or advice. Whilst I need to accept there isn’t a root cause fix right now that will get me back to normal, Dr Gill used his experience to go through my long covid journey and each of the symptoms I live daily with. He is understanding and keen to try to help and problem solve. He has provided a list of medication and supplements against each symptom which will hopefully ease these. I look forward to seeing what impact this has in hoping to improve my quality of life.

I have seen a huge volume of conventional and functional practitioners but Dr Ben Sinclair is outstanding. I have just had my first appointment and I am confident we will finally make significant progress with my Long Covid which I have had since the end of 2020. His knowledge is excellent and combines Functional Medicine, which has been the only thing that has helped me so far, but with the Long Covid focus which has been missing with my care previously. His treatment options I can see are very well considered and he is confident in his ability to diagnose the underlying issues. Lastly, he has suffered from LC himself so understands how debilitating it can be and is not only focused on dealing with the root cause but also symptom management and quality of life, I would highly recommend.
